Unisex skincare brand Moksi, founded by entrepreneur Lies De Nyn in late 2022, is inspired by Lies' battle with breast cancer, as she experienced the challenges of sourcing and evaluating skincare products compatible with radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and other cancer treatments firsthand.
Amsterdam and Antwerp-based studio FCKLCK Studio was approached by Lies with the intention of launching a unisex skincare line suitable for individuals undergoing cancer treatments.
FCKLCK Studio's collaboration with Lies began at the very beginning of this venture. The choice of the brand name was instinctive; upon meeting Lies, the word 'moxie' immediately resonated. The studio opted for a unique spelling to enhance its impact, incorporating a robust 'K' that became a pivotal element in the logo design. This adjustment aimed to imbue the brand with a sense of neutrality, moving beyond traditional feminine associations.
