Maiella is a software company dedicated to crafting modern, intuitive business dashboards. It is rooted in the spirit of the mountain from which it takes its name, and guided by a vision of climbing, exploration, and reaching new heights.

Salerno-based design studio Multiverse developed a visual identity that renders the abstract world of data tangible, resulting in a brand that blends nature and digital into a cohesive experience.

Visual Language

At the heart of the brand lies a visual language grounded in both history and modernity. The logo, inspired by ancient manuscripts, fuses Gothic and contemporary influences, most notably expressed through the bespoke typeface, Magella Display. Headline typography is elevated through the integration of illustrated glyphs, creating a distinctive system where message and medium are deeply intertwined.

Typography

Named after the mountain’s original form, Magella Display embodies the convergence of nature and software. Its diagonal, elongated ascenders evoke the ascent to the peak, while condensed, squared letterforms capture the essence of the digital world. A series of contextual alternatives, including custom-designed glyphs that function as coded visuals, interlace with the text and transform each headline into a narrative of its own.
