The new identity presents Innocean Berlin as a pharmacy for brands. Inspired by pharmaceuticals, painkillers, first-aid kits, and prescriptions, the new logo, known as “the painkiller,” sits at the centre of the identity.
The rebrand extends across multiple touchpoints, including a new website, short film, updated social media, and a merchandise line influenced by pharmaceutical design.
“If we’re going to call ourselves healers, we’d better make sure the work actually heals. That meant throwing out the old playbook. Every detail, from the typeface to the merchandise, had to feel like it does something. It’s all intentional, all built to function. Because good design isn’t just about looking pretty. It’s about working so well that you forget the pain was ever there.”
“From the beginning, the core idea was to fuse the Berlin visual zeitgeist with the overarching concept of creating an Apotheke for Brands. By leveraging the diverse talents of our internal studio, we adopted a multidisciplinary approach — blending typography, art direction, 3D design, and copywriting — to craft something unique, with an uncommon sense of balance.”
